Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, from an alternative apocalyptic future devastated by the ruthless C-17 and C-18 Cyborgs. In order to change the course of history and save his timeline, he travels back in time using a time machine designed by his mother. His arrival in the main timeline of Dragon Ball Z is lightning-fast: he eliminates the tyrant Mecha Freezer and his father the Cold King in a matter of moments using his sword, before delivering a crucial warning to Son Goku and the other protectors of Earth.
