Meet Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, with this collectable figurine from the Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball DRAGON OMNIBUS ~Battle of Gods~. Standing approximately 22 cm tall, it depicts one of the characters who has profoundly expanded the Dragon Ball universe by introducing the Gods of Destruction and the concept of the Super Saiyan God.
Beerus is depicted standing in a pose that is as calm as it is menacing, his right arm outstretched before him and his hand open, as if he were about to unleash his divine energy. The sculpture captures his characteristic feline silhouette, with his long, erect ears, slender muzzle, long tail and particularly stern yellow gaze.
His outfit faithfully recreates his iconic appearance: purple skin, a wide black collar decorated with blue and white patterns, gold embellishments and loose-fitting blue trousers. The black front apron edged in yellow also features the geometric patterns associated with the character. The folds of the garment and the musculature of the torso lend further depth to this depiction of Beerus.
Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7. His role is to destroy planets and civilisations in order to maintain the balance of the universe, in contrast to the creative role of the Kaioshins. Despite his relatively slender appearance, Beerus possesses a power that far exceeds that of any fighters Son Goku and his allies have encountered so far.
After a 39-year slumber, Beerus awakens following a vision foretelling his clash with a mysterious Super Saiyan God. Accompanied by Whis, he sets out in search of this warrior and first encounters Son Goku on Kaio’s planet. Even after transforming into a Super Saiyan 3, Goku is defeated by Beerus in just a few blows, immediately demonstrating the vast gulf between the Saiyans and the deities.
Beerus then travels to Earth on Bulma’s birthday. Following an incident involving Majin Buu and some pudding, his rage prompts the warriors present to try to stop him, but to no avail. Shenron finally reveals the means to summon the Super Saiyan God, allowing Goku to achieve this new transformation and face Beerus in a decisive battle for the fate of Earth.
Although he remains superior to Goku, Beerus recognises his potential and ultimately decides to spare the planet. He subsequently becomes a recurring character in *Dragon Ball Super*, usually accompanied by Whis, and plays a central role in the introduction of the other universes, the Gods of Destruction and the divine hierarchy that shapes much of the rest of the saga.
