Origin and character background
Son Goku and Chichi share a unique history that begins in their earliest childhood in the universal Dragon Ball series, created by Akira Toriyama. Daughter of the fearsome King Gyumaou, Chichi crosses paths with the young boy with the magic staff and, following a memorable misunderstanding, secures a promise of marriage from him—a promise Goku would eventually honour years later at the conclusion of the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. Having become parents to Son Gohan and then Son Goten, their daily life constantly balances Goku’s insatiable passion for martial arts training with Chichi’s fierce determination to provide her family with a rigorous yet peaceful upbringing. Banpresto’s “Ichibansho” sub-category is acclaimed worldwide by discerning collectors for its exceptional level of finish, its rigorous anatomical accuracy and the meticulous detail of its craftsmanship. This 14 cm model captures the couple’s characteristic facial expressions and the drapery of their classic outfits with surgical precision, establishing itself as a centrepiece for fans of the franchise.
