Origin and character background
Son Gohan and Videl form one of the most beloved and iconic couples in the expanded universe of Dragon Ball, the legendary saga created by Akira Toriyama. Their fateful meeting takes place at Orange Star High School during the Majin Buu arc, whilst Son Goku’s son attempts to lead the life of an ordinary student whilst secretly fighting crime under the guise of Great Saiyaman. The only daughter of the famous martial arts champion Mr Satan, Videl is a courageous, perceptive young woman with a keen sense of justice. Intrigued by Gohan’s extraordinary abilities, she eventually discovers his secret and forces him to teach her the mastery of ki and the art of flying, marking the beginning of a deep bond. Banpresto’s “Ichibansho” sub-category is acclaimed worldwide by discerning collectors for its exceptional finish and meticulous attention to detail. This compact 10 cm model perfectly captures the light-hearted atmosphere and retro style of this landmark period in the anime, establishing itself as a centrepiece for fans of the franchise.
