Character background and universe (Lore)
In the Dragon Ball universe, Hoi-Poi capsules (created by the Capsule Corporation, founded by Dr Brief, Bulma’s father) represent one of the pinnacles of modern technology. Thanks to a revolutionary material compression system, these small, numbered cylindrical objects can instantly store enormous volumes within a pocket-sized space. Capsule No. 1 contains the iconic round pop-up house that Bulma and Son Goku set up in the middle of the desert at the very start of their adventures to shelter in whilst searching for the seven Dragon Balls. This figurine celebrates one of pop culture’s most memorable inventions, bringing the magic and surprise of the Hoi-Poi transformation to life for the very first time, right in the hands of fans of Akira Toriyama’s work.
