Origin and character’s universe
Toy Story is a groundbreaking film franchise from Disney-Pixar studios that tells the story of the secret lives of toys when humans aren’t looking. Introduced in the second instalment of the series, Jessie is a retro cowgirl doll, once the much-loved toy of a little girl named Emily who abandoned her. Traumatised by this rejection, she rediscovers her zest for life and finds a real family alongside Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang in Andy’s bedroom, and later in Bonnie’s. Known for her famous cry of joy, her hyperactivity and her fear of dark boxes, this character celebrates her indispensable presence in the road trips and twists and turns of *Toy Story 4*.
