History and background of the model
Inspired by the character of Princess Badroulboudour from the Arabian Nights tale Aladdin or the Wonderful Lamp, Jasmine was created by Disney Studios for the 31st animated classic Aladdin, released in 1992. Animated by Mark Henn, she stands out for her strong personality, her refusal of the arranged marriages imposed by the laws of her kingdom and her quest for freedom outside the walls of the palace of Agrabah. She is a strikingly independent figure in the pantheon of Disney princesses.
Marketed by Funko, the "Grand Entrances" series revisits the clothing style of the franchise's iconic heroines. It features figurines with exclusive, voluminous ceremonial outfits, reimagined for grand court receptions.
