Origin and character’s world
Released in 1989, The Little Mermaid marked the beginning of the golden age of the Disney Studios Renaissance. The story follows the adventures of Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, who lives in the underwater kingdom of Atlantica. Fascinated by the human world, she spends her time exploring shipwrecks in search of everyday objects (which she affectionately calls her ‘gadgetots’) that she carefully stores in her secret cave, before her fate is turned upside down following her pact with the sea witch, Ursula. This Funko Pop! figurine perfectly captures the character’s innocence during her underwater explorations, making it a must-have for anyone nostalgic for Disney’s masterpieces.
