Meet Tengen Uzui, the Sound Pillar from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, with this figurine from FuRyu’s Noodle Stopper Figure collection. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it depicts the demon slayer in a dynamic fighting pose, armed with his imposing Nichirin blades linked by a chain.
Tengen is depicted in his dark Demon Slayer Corps uniform, complete with his golden armour, red leg bands and imposing headband set with stones. The sculpture also captures the beaded chains framing his face, as well as his two broad blades with orange-tipped edges. Unlike a simple seated depiction, this version adopts a crouched, offensive stance that particularly showcases his weaponry.
Like FuRyu’s other ‘Noodle Stopper’ releases, the figurine is designed to sit on a flat surface or on the lid of a packet of instant noodles, with its weight keeping the lid closed whilst the noodles are being prepared. It can, of course, be used as a classic decorative figurine in a display cabinet or on a shelf dedicated to Demon Slayer.

Tengen Uzui is one of the Pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps and holds the title of Sound Pillar. A former shinobi, he is known for his exuberant personality and his penchant for all things ‘flamboyant’. In the Entertainment District arc, he takes Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke with him to investigate the presence of demons in the Yoshiwara district.
His fighting style is based on the Breath of Sound and on a particularly unusual set of weapons: two enormous Nichirin blades connected at the hilt by a long chain. Tengen makes particular use of his excellent hearing, his experience as a shinobi and the mobility afforded by these weapons to unleash a series of rapid and highly destructive attacks.
He plays a central role in the battle against Gyutaro and Daki, the demons who at that time held the rank of Sixth Upper Moon. After this battle, during which he loses an arm and an eye, Tengen steps down from his role as an active Pillar. He nevertheless continues to assist the Slayer Corps and later helps train the fighters in preparation for the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji.
