Origin and character’s universe
Created in 1999 by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini for the cult animated series *Batman Beyond* (known in France as *Batman de la Relève*), this character projects the legend of the vigilante into the year 2039. An ageing and frail Bruce Wayne has hung up his cape for good. The torch is taken up by the young and athletic Terry McGinnis, who dons a revolutionary cybernetic suit developed in secret in the laboratories of Wayne Enterprises. Guided by Bruce’s voice from the Batcave, Terry faces new corporate threats and cyber-enhanced gangs in the heart of a futuristic megacity.
This Funko vinyl figure perfectly captures the sleek, minimalist and memorable design of this futuristic Bat-suit. The suit stands out for its jet-black finish, which contrasts sharply with the large, bright red stylised bat emblem emblazoned across the chest. The sharp spikes on the forearms and the mask with its elongated white eyes lend the figure an aggressive and dynamic silhouette. An absolutely exceptional choice for fans of animation and science fiction keen to add a major cyberpunk touch to their DC Comics display.
