Character background and lore

D. is one of the new protagonists introduced in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a standalone ten-episode series created by CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER studio set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Unlike the first series centred on David Martinez, this new story follows an entirely new cast of characters across Night City.

D. is a netrunner originally from the Nation of the Serpent. Possessing strong technical skills, he is driven by a deep desire for revenge following the extermination of his clan. His quest leads him to hunt down those responsible for the massacre and to uncover secrets belonging to the powerful corporations of Night City.

His role thus combines digital infiltration, technology and confrontation with the corporate interests that shape the Cyberpunk universe. Through his journey, *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2* explores themes such as revenge, family, legacy and the human consequences of a society dominated by chrome and megacorporations.
