CHRONO TRIGGER - Crono - Figure FORM-ISM 17cm

Meet Crono, the iconic hero of the RPG Chrono Trigger, with this Square Enix collectable figurine from the FORM-ISM range. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it brings to life in three dimensions one of the character’s most recognisable depictions, directly inspired by the key artwork used on the game’s original packaging.

The figurine depicts Crono in his characteristic standing pose, with his confident expression and the key elements of his original design: his spiky red hair, his blue outfit, his light-coloured trousers, his boots and his sword. The sculpture retains the proportions and aesthetic directly associated with the illustrations from Chrono Trigger, whose original character design was created by Akira Toriyama.

Made from PVC and ABS, this pre-painted figurine comes with a base, making it easy to display as part of a collection. Its 17 cm size is in keeping with Square Enix’s FORM-ISM range, which offers accessible and instantly recognisable representations of characters from its various franchises.

Character background and lore

Crono is the main protagonist of Chrono Trigger, an RPG developed by Square and originally released in 1995. He lives in the year 1000 of the Guardia calendar and heads to the Millennium Fair being held in Leene Square. It is there that he meets Marle, a young girl with whom he decides to explore the fair’s attractions.

When Marle takes part in a demonstration of the Telepod – an invention designed by Lucca, Crono’s childhood friend – a malfunction opens a dimensional rift and sends the young girl four centuries into the past. Crono retrieves his pendant and immediately decides to follow her, setting in motion an adventure that will take the group on a journey through the past, the present and the future, right up to the End of Time.

As their journey unfolds, Crono and his companions discover that the fate of their world is under threat and set out to alter the course of history in order to prevent its destruction. This exploration of different eras lies at the heart of Chrono Trigger, a game created by a team that included Yuji Horii, Akira Toriyama and several creators associated with Final Fantasy. The FORM-ISM figurine pays tribute to this work by faithfully recreating Crono’s classic appearance as seen in his iconic illustration.
