Character background and universe
Directly inspired by the DC Universe feature film, this figure showcases recent graduate Jaime Reyes following his chance encounter with the Scarab, an ancient alien biotechnology relic. By fusing with its host, this artefact grants Jaime an extraordinary and unpredictable symbiotic armour capable of generating bladed weapons, energy shields and flight thrusters. Blue Beetle thus emerges as a modern protector, deeply connected to his family, struggling to master his new abilities in the face of corporate threats from Kord Industries.
This Funko Pop! figure faithfully recreates the modern, high-tech design of the alien armour, characterised by its metallic blue and black sheen, geometric insect patterns and gleaming rectangular eyes. For collectors and retailers, this item offers a major element of fun: the chance to receive, at random, the Chase version, a rare and sought-after variant produced in limited quantities that alters the pose or finish of the original character. A strategic choice to create a buzz and spark excitement among comic book fans as they browse your shelves.
