BLEACH - Nemu Kurotsuchi - Figure Glitter & Glamours 24cm

Banpresto has added Nemu Kurotsuchi to its Glitter & Glamours collection with this approximately 24 cm figurine inspired by *Bleach*. The range places particular emphasis on the characters’ elegance, their proportions and the rendering of textures. For Nemu, Banpresto states that it has carefully crafted her expression and the folds of her outfit to best capture her appearance and the character’s refined nature.

Nemu is depicted standing in a calm, slightly swaying pose, her head tilted and one hand raised close to her face. Her long black hair flows down her back in a thick plait. The figurine features her characteristic dark outfit, with its voluminous sleeves, white accents on the forearms and ankles, and the red highlights in her costume. Her reserved expression perfectly matches the discreet and controlled demeanour she adopts in the series.

The Glitter & Glamours collection favours a static display piece here rather than a battle scene. At 24 cm, this version is large enough to showcase her face, hairstyle, the folds of her clothing and the various contrasts between black, white and red. The manufacturer offers a single variant for this item.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Nemu Kurotsuchi is the vice-captain of the 12th Division of the Gotei 13, serving under Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Unlike most Shinigami, Nemu is an artificial soul created as a result of Mayuri’s research. The official Bleach website describes her as the culmination of the finest elements of his work and highlights her exceptional physical abilities.

Very quiet and disciplined, Nemu generally carries out Mayuri’s orders without protest. This reserved demeanour contrasts sharply with the eccentric, unpredictable and sometimes cruel personality of the Captain of the 12th Division. Their relationship directly illustrates the scientific nature of this division, which is also closely linked to the Soul Society’s Research and Development Department.

Nemu, however, possesses physical abilities far superior to what her calm demeanour might suggest. Her artificial nature and the research that led to her creation make her one of the most unique characters in the 12th Division and a direct testament to Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s scientific ambitions.

The Glitter & Glamours figurine specifically chooses to highlight this more composed side of the character. Rather than an offensive stance, Banpresto emphasises her elegance, her distant expression and her instantly recognisable silhouette, thus offering a representation faithful to the image Nemu projects throughout much of *Bleach*.
