From *BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War*, this Banpresto figurine depicts Ichigo Kurosaki in his new form, Blood Chains Ichigo. Part of the MAXIMATIC collection, it stands approximately 23 cm tall and depicts the protagonist in one of his most powerful transformations from the final arc.
This version captures the distinctive features of the Blood Chains form: Ichigo is depicted in his semi-Hollow state, with two horns reminiscent of his full Hollow transformation and spiritual energy taking the form of blood chains around his neck, hands and legs. The sculpture emphasises a combat stance and an imposing silhouette, hallmarks of the MAXIMATIC range.
The Blood Chains transformation is a creation specific to the animated adaptation of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War. The anime’s official website states that this new appearance was designed and named by Tite Kubo, the manga’s author and general supervisor of the series, for his appearance in episode 45, ‘DEFEND YOU’.
Ichigo Kurosaki is the protagonist of BLEACH, a series created by Tite Kubo. Able to sense spirits since childhood, he gains the powers of a Shinigami after meeting Rukia Kuchiki. His journey gradually leads him to discover that his abilities stem from several supernatural lineages, notably the powers of the Shinigami, the Hollows and the Quincy.
Ichigo’s Blood Chains form appears in episode 45 of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, which aired in August 2026. It was specially designed by Tite Kubo for the anime. In it, Ichigo awakens the Hollow power slumbering within him before using his Bankai, resulting in a transformation characterised by two horns and a spiritual pressure resembling blood-red chains around his body.
This new power manifests itself during the clash with Yhwach, after the latter has absorbed the King of Souls. The transformation represents the unification of the various components of Ichigo’s power and enables him to reach a higher level of power, speed and reaction time. This MAXIMATIC figure accurately captures this recent and distinctive appearance from the anime conclusion of *Thousand-Year Blood War*.
