Origin and character background
Introduced in the hit independent horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, released in 2014, Toy Freddy is the modernised, plastic and supposedly safer version of the original animatronic bear, Freddy Fazbear. Designed with a cleaner look, rosy cheeks and a smooth finish to appeal to children, he remains nonetheless a formidable nocturnal predator for the undercover security guard.
