Get ready to mix up your battle strategies with this Beyblade X Dual Pack from Hasbro, featuring two complete Beyblades: the Calibur Samurai 6-70M, a Balance-type Beyblade, and the Obsidian Shell 3-85S, a Defence-type Beyblade. Both models spin clockwise and are part of the Beyblade X Basic Line. 

The Calibur Samurai 6-70M combines the Calibur Samurai Blade with the 6-70 Ratchet and the Merge Bit (M). This Balance-type configuration is designed to combine offensive capabilities, stability and durability. The Blade features a design with four main contact points, whilst the Merge Bit can alter its behaviour depending on the different phases of the battle.

The Obsidian Shell 3-85S, meanwhile, features a defence-oriented configuration, comprising the Obsidian Shell Blade, the 3-85 Ratchet and the Spike (S) Bit. Its Blade has an angular shape with several contact zones designed to better absorb and deflect opponent attacks. The components of both Beyblades can be dismantled and combined with other compatible Beyblade X parts to create new configurations.

This set contains only the two complete Beyblades and the instructions. The Beyblade X launcher and Beystadium are sold separately and are required to organise battles and utilise the X-Celerator system, which enables Xtreme Dash acceleration.

Origin and lore

Calibur Samurai is the name used by Hasbro for SamuraiCalibur, a Beyblade introduced by Takara Tomy with the Japanese booster pack BX-45 SamuraiCalibur 6-70M. This Balance-type Beyblade is associated with Tenka Shiroboshi in the Beyblade X universe. Its central emblem depicts a samurai wearing a kabuto helmet, in keeping with the Blade’s visual identity.

Obsidian Shell, meanwhile, is the name used by Hasbro for the Japanese BlackShell Blade. A Defence-type Bey, it has a general diamond shape with eight contact zones, and its Gear Chip is inspired by Genbu, the Black Tortoise, one of the four symbolic creatures of Asian tradition. In the Beyblade X anime and manga, BlackShell / Obsidian Shell is notably associated with Ciel Kaminari.

This Hasbro Dual Pack therefore combines a Western version of SamuraiCalibur with a new configuration of Obsidian Shell, offering two complementary fighting styles: the versatile approach of SamuraiCalibur and the defensive specialisation of Obsidian Shell.
