Player’s background and career (Lore)

Luis Fernando Díaz is a Colombian international footballer born on 13 January 1997 in Barrancas, Colombia. He began his professional career at Barranquilla FC before joining Atlético Junior, where his performances quickly earned him international recognition.

In 2019, Díaz joined FC Porto in Portugal. There, he won several domestic titles and gradually established himself as one of the most effective wingers in the Portuguese league thanks to his pace, dribbling ability and knack for directly attacking opposing defences.

Liverpool signed him in January 2022. Whilst playing for the English club, he made 148 competitive appearances and scored 41 goals. Notably, he won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Community Shield and two League Cups.

On 30 July 2025, Luis Díaz signed for Bayern Munich on a contract running until 30 June 2029 and was given the number 14 shirt. The Bavarian club highlighted his pace, his ability to create danger, his defensive work and his versatility in attack.

A Colombian international since 2018, Díaz has also become one of his national team’s key attacking players. Notably, he finished as top scorer at the 2021 Copa América and has established himself as one of the leading figures in Colombian football of his generation.

This POP! Football No. 111 thus captures Luis Díaz during his time at Bayern Munich and completes the Funko collection dedicated to the German club’s historic and contemporary players.
