Character background and universe (Lore)

Rhysand, often called Rhys, is one of the central characters in the A Court of Thorns and Roses saga written by Sarah J. Maas. He is the High Lord of the Court of Night, one of the seven great Courts of Prythian.

When he first appears, Rhysand comes across as a mysterious figure, extremely powerful and difficult to fathom. His role gradually takes on greater significance as Feyre uncovers the true balance of power between the various fae Courts.

The Court of Night is notably linked to Velaris, the City of Stars, a central location in Feyre’s development and in the formation of Rhysand’s inner circle. He is surrounded by several loyal allies, including Cassian, Azriel, Morrigan and Amren.

Charismatic, a master strategist and deeply committed to the freedom of those around him, Rhysand becomes one of the most important characters in the saga. This POP! Books No. 60 celebrates his status as High Lord and his central role in the world of *A Court of Thorns and Roses*.
